![]() Conspiracies - Buns & Hot Dogs Ever noticed that hot dogs come in packages of ten but the buns come only in packets of eight? This may sound trivial but when you consider the implications of this, it's quite astounding. Consider this: You buy a packet of hot dogs and also a packet of buns. But now you have two spare hot dogs and must purchase to accompany the extra sausages. However, you now have six spare buns....... In fact, in order to gain an even number you must purchase four packs of hot dogs and 5 packs of buns. When you think about just how many millions of extra profit the companies must be making from this scheme, you have got to wonder when they will rise up against the world's governments!? To avoid certain doom, please buy from non-evil buns & hot dog manufacturers (e.g. ones who sell both products in equal numbers). Like these guys below: ![]() Mystry solved? Well, because of this being metrics, it is much easier to go by units of ten, rather than other intervals. Meanwhile, the hot dog bun would sell by the dozen, most common to bakeries. They would always prefer to sell by multiples of three or four. Look at muffin trays, coming in 3x4, 6x12, etc. Being two different industries, the two wouldn't exactly be able to make a compromise. So as you can see, it's merely a matter if different industries! Area 51 was Established on August 18th 2001 © Copyright H. Bedford. All Rights Reserved. |
